Hello Friends and Fans!
What a fun and fabulous night we had at the Singer Showcase! If you were part of the warm-hearted, sold out house who lifted your voice in song with us, THANK YOU. What a treat! And if you happen to be one of the 40 or so folks who purchased an advance copy of my "Prayers for the Water" album, I hope you are enjoying it!
Kickstarter folks, if you have not yet received your CDs, they are on their way. I mailed close to 200 of them out on Monday.
Everyone else - Here's how you can get an advance copy - Attend the Santa Cruz community CD Release Singing Celebration and Ritual to the Water on March 21st at the PCC. If you are from out of the Santa Cruz area, you will need to wait a bit longer. We will officially release the album to the general public later this Spring and we will make it available on my website sooner than that, so please stay tuned.
Have you heard the buzz about the One Billions Rising event this Saturday the 14th? This is the world-wide movement started by Eve Ensler to raise awareness and solidarity about violence against women. Yala Lati will sing around 3:00 at the MAH. There will be music, art, dancing, drumming, poetry and a march from Cathcart St. to the MAH, all beginning at 1:00.
